This summer, we are thrilled to announce our exclusive collaboration with Gloriette Gin.
Here at the Greyhound Inn, we always aim to use locally sourced ingredients. This partnership is testament to that as the delicious and (curiously moreish!) Gloriette Artisan Gin is crafted and distilled a mear stones throw away from The Greyhound Inn (literally)!
This delightful refreshing gin has an explosion of flavour, balanced with subtle heat, smooth aromatic complexity, and a lingering finish.
The perfect accompaniment while enjoying the splendid view of Corfe Castle.
The Gloriette Story
Inside Corfe Castle, perched within the Purbeck hill, there was once a secret room. The Gloriette; an elegant and private place, where guests were invited into the inner sanctum of the King. A luxurious and very secretive sanctuary, a place for pleasure and indulgent, to come together and reconnect. Only the King’s inner circle and guests of the highest order were invited into the intimate ambience of the Gloriette. Here, they would be immersed in the sumptuous surroundings of the palace, experiencing a deep appreciation for the significance of the moment.
Guests would quickly begin to realise that the Gloriette is not just a place but a feeling, a get away from day-to-day life, a sanctuary to become fully immersed in the moment.
Full of elegance and subtlety and with every detail crafted in harmony. Gloriette Artisan Gin is an intricate blend of 45 botanicals, that mixed together bring a level of depth and complexity. This exquisite gin dazzles the palate with a refreshing explosion of flavours.
Key Botanicals
- Aromatic complexity: earthy, rich, sweet and citrus
- Caraway Seed: sweet aniseed Persian Lime: rich citrus
- Subtle heat: an assault on the senses; our blend of cardamom, szechuan pepper and bitter orange transports the palate to somewhere altogether exotic
- Sea Buckthorn: earthy richness
- Cardamom: a rich, exotic aroma
- Szechuan pepper: fruity, pungent, spicy; hits the top of the tongue.
- Bitter Orange: sour and bitter.

Bar Takeover
Our lovely outdoor bar, beneath the ruins of Corfe Castle is the perfect place to gather for local, premium and glorious Gloriette drinks.
